The Hawkinge Community Centre, which first came into use at the end of July 2003, was built to meet the needs of a fast growing, modern community. The building is attractive and offers up to date facilities in a very pleasant situation - on the edge of the village green.

The Centre management personnel ensure a high quality of service in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. They seek to maintain many of the traditional values carried over from the days when Hawkinge was a small village.

The operation is supervised by a charitable trust whose aims are clearly stated as establishing a Centre for the benefit of the whole community.

Their strategy is targeted at creating an environment in which the different members of the Hawkinge Community can gain the support and social interation they need. It is also recognised that the Centre has probably the best halls and facilities in East Kent. Therefore the halls are available for hire for all sorts of functions requiring a modem, top of the range environment.
